Jake Owen Celebrates Pride Month With Country Cover Of Cher's 'Believe'

Regardless of the country genre's reputation towards the LGBTQ community, Jake Owen was so excited to celebrate Pride Month that he recorded a cover of Cher's 1998 smash, "Believe," in honor of the celebratory time.

"I believe #loveislove," the 37-year-old singer kicked off a lengthy Instagram post, which included a snippet of the song. "Some of my closest friends and coworkers, are part of the #lgbtcommunity and I couldn’t be more happy for the progress they have made. I’m inspired by people loving people no matter who you are. I BELIEVE the world needs more love. No matter where it comes from." Owen went on to admit that he Google'd the "gayest" songs of all time and decided to put a country spin on the pop titan's classic with his musicians. "Hope you dig. I plan on releasing all of these backstage random songs we’ve created very very soon. Stay tuned friends, and most importantly, love everyone," he concluded with a rainbow emoji.
